Den här veckan är temat för tisdagstrion: ”Böcker jag planerar att läsa under 2024”

Oj det var inte den lättaste frågan att besvar. Det finns ju så otroligt många böcker jag vill läsa. Men det får bli några av dem jag köpte i julklapp till mig själv:

1. Sword Catcher – Cassandra Clare In the vibrant city-state of Castellane, a young orphan named Kel is stolen from his old life to enter a new one of luxury and peril. He’s to become Prince Conor Aurelian’s body-double, shielding the Prince from all dangers. As his ‘Sword Catcher,’ he and Conor become close as brothers – yet Kel lives for one purpose: to die for Conor.
2. The Mothers – Brit Bennett It is the last season of high school life for Nadia Turner, a rebellious, grief-stricken, seventeen-year-old beauty. Mourning her own mother’s recent suicide, she takes up with the local pastor’s son. Luke Sheppard is twenty-one, a former football star whose injury has reduced him to waiting tables at a diner. They are young; it’s not serious. But the pregnancy that results from this teen romance-and the subsequent cover-up-will have an impact that goes far beyond their youth.
3. Ressurection Walk – Michael Connelly Defense attorney Mickey Haller – The Lincoln Lawyer – rides the wave of freeing a wrongfully convicted man from prison. Inundated with pleas from incarcerated people claiming innocence, Haller enlists the help of ex-LAPD detective Harry Bosch to find the next case which could result in a resurrection walk. When Bosch finds a needle in the haystack – a woman imprisoned for murdering her husband, a sheriff’s deputy – they discover evidence that doesn’t add up, and a department pushed for quick closure in the killing of one of its own. But is this rushed justice – or something more sinister?
