På söndagrna är det dags för En smakebit på söndag som Betraktninger håller i. Vi ska dela med oss av ett stycke ur den boken vi läser just nu. (Inga spoilers!)

Hoppas alla har haft en trevlig midsommarhelg! Det har jag haft. Vi har kollat på Wonder Woman och Alena båda baserade på graphic novels. Middagen på midsommaraftonen bestod av kycklingfilé, halloumi och hemmagjord potatissallad med rabarberpaj som efterrätt.

Annars har jag mest kollat på några serier (Fuller House, The Magicians, The Ranch, Peaky Blinders) och läst en hel del. Både Queen of Shadows och Mischling blev utläst. Idag har jag läst och avslutat Let´s Talk About Loves av Claire kann som blir denna veckas smakbit.

Den handlar om Alice som är en 19-årig afro-amerikansk tjej som är asexuell och biromantic. Från sidan 1:

Everything was perfect before Alice unlocked the dorm room door.
”I want to break up,  ”Margot said.
Alice stood, stopping and starting whatever she had planned to say. Her mouth moved, forming shapes of words, but only tiny ticks of noice echoed in the back of her throat. A sharp, bruishing ache crept upward from the pit of her stomach.
”I know this seems kind of sudden.” Margot had begun to wring her hands. One of the things she and Alice had in common was their aversion to direct conflict. ”I wanted to wait until I moved out but I’ve really been thinkin about things and it’s better to just get it out of the way now so I can focus on my finals. Instead of this.”
”Why?” Alice asked. Unable to meet Margot’s eyes, she stare at her arms crossed over her chest.
”Because you won’t have sex with me,” Margot answered.Alice knew it before the words even left her mouth. Of course this was about sex – what else could it have possibly been about?
